alfajores

Simple Alfajores, recipe from Baked Elements for Baked Sunday Mornings... I found out that I am not a fan of dulce de leche... Would much rather have some of the caramel that went on the caramel coconut cluster bars than dulce de leche (tastes like scalded milk to me), but then I suppose it wouldn't be an alfajor!

  5. Gorgeous, Sarah! Even though you didn't care for the dulce de leche, it looks perfect with that dark color. Mine was much lighter. I did like it a lot, but I too prefer caramel in general. I see no reason why you can experiment with fillings, should you be inclined to make these again. :)
